East Greenland

The Last Frontier of the High Arctic

You will venture to one of the most remote places on Earth for an expedition filled with unparalleled photographic opportunities and adventure.

You will embark on an extraordinary journey, flying by helicopter to Sydkap, on the edge of the vast sea ice in East Greenland. This exclusive area serves as a prime hunting ground for Polar Bears and a sanctuary for other iconic Arctic wildlife. So few people have ever been here as it is not accessible by boat, only by helicopter and powerful snowmobiles.

For up to 11 days, you will explore this stunning expanse of the high Arctic in search of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. From the majestic Polar Bears and Musk Ox to huge icebergs, every moment promises photographic potential.

In 2025, tour leader David Gibbon organised the first land-based winter wildlife photography expedition to Sydkap. He returns here with a full team of professional guides, dedicated to your safety and to maximising your photographic success in this demanding environment.

If you want to experience Greenland in a totally new and unique way, get in touch to book your place on this once-in-a-lifetime tour.

Your Accommodation

In a wilderness where traditional hotels cannot exist, our home is a rustic, heated expedition house perched on the very edge of the sea ice. This is not merely a place to stay, but a front-row seat to the High Arctic where Polar Bears roam the frozen horizon. While the accommodation is functional – with shared rooms (please note same-sex sharing is to be expected) reflecting the remote nature of the terrain – it provides a vital, warm sanctuary. Living here offers something no luxury cruise or standard tour can replicate: the chance to reside within the rhythm of the High Arctic itself.
